Started early this moring with the bus pulling out and we headed to the Tel Of Jericho where we talked about the walls came tumbling down and I did my story telling of the story of Zacheus. A powerful experience!
The oasis area is so green right now with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. From this area saw a desert monastary. This is the area was Jesus was tempted - remember the temptations? Also the mountain known as the Desert of Percipitation.
When we left the Palenstinian territory the Israli guard checked out the bus before we could proceed.
Jericho is the oldest known city - believed to have originated around 800 BCE.
Saw several kabutz - one raises pigs only - think about it.
Wnt to Bet Shean where we saw the devastation of an earthquake around 660. I can only imagine what it is like in Haiti.
Passed a government hotel, also known as a prison.
Went to Cana and this was an amzing experience to see the size of the jug that has been excavated.
More later with greater details - am about to run out of time.
Grace and peace.
